How do I load powder into the KLIC?

There are two ways to load the KLIC:

1. The most efficient method is to slide the chamber door open, add your powder, and then slide the door closed. This method works well when pouring from a small bag.

2. You can also remove the knob, pour your powder into the double-circle chamber, and then reassemble the device. This method works well with the included funnel. Please ensure you are pouring into the double-circle chamber and not the intake tube.

Avoid overpacking or pressing the powder too tightly. Loose, dry powder performs best.

How do I remove and replace the knob?

The knob can be removed by simultaneously twisting and pulling it out. It can be replaced in a similar way, by pressing it in while twisting it slightly.

How do I load the chamber?

The chamber is loaded by simply twisting the knob 180 degrees while the device is upright (with the knob at the bottom). Ensure that the vertical notches on the knob align with the notches on the body or the KLIC logo before taking your dose.

How do I take a dose?

Place the intake hole on the top of the device up to your nose and sniff gently. Ensure you are not covering the 5 aeration holes on the body of the device.

How do I empty the KLIC?

The easiest way to empty the KLIC is to hold it upside down while removing the knob, and then pouring the powder out through the bottom into a container. The KLIC can also be emptied be pouring out of the slide door.

How do I adjust the dose?

KLIC has two dosing cups that can be continually adjusted using the included adjustment tool. Insert one end of the tool into either hex screw on the bottom of the knob and turn to increase or decrease the cup depth.

Do not exceed the maximum depth. Once you feel resistance (or the screw head is nearly flush with the bottom of the knob), you are at the maximum size. Exceeding this may strip the dosing screw.

For reference, the maximum cup depth is approximately 3 mm.

Actual output may vary depending on powder density, humidity, and granularity.

Note: One dose corresponds to the single notch on the knob and the other corresponds to the double notch. This can help you differentiate between a larger and smaller dose if you so desire. Many users prefer to keep both doses approximately the same.

How much powder fits in the KLIC?

Capacity varies by powder type. Fine, dry powders allow the greatest volume. Coarse, irregular, or moist powders reduce capacity.

Why does the dosage vary slightly?

Powder density, humidity, particle size, and user technique all affect volume. This variation is normal for any powder-dosing tool.

Why is my powder clumping or sticking?

Moisture in the powder can cause clumping. Use dry powders only. A dry pack (desiccant) is included to help reduce humidity.

MOISTURE CONTROL

How does the dry pack work?

The dry pack contains a desiccant that helps reduce humidity inside the KLIC. Its effectiveness depends on ambient humidity, how often you use the device, and the moisture content of your powder.

How do I install the dry pack?

Remove the knob and insert the dry pack into its slot, ensuring the side that says "TOP" faces inside the KLIC. It may require some force to initially pop the dry pack in. Slide the dry pack all the way to the top of the chamber. The slide door can be used to push the dry pack to the top of the chamber

How often should I replace the dry pack?

Replace it once the desiccant beads change from orange to dark green. It is advised not to install the dry pack until you plan on using the device. Depending on your location and the humidity in your environment, you may not need the dry pack at all.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

How do I clean the KLIC?

Disassemble the device and use the included brush or a dry microfiber cloth to remove excess powder. If water is used, ensure all components are completely dry before reassembling.

Can I wash it with soap and water?

Stainless steel parts can be washed with mild soap and water, but this is not recommended unless necessary. The device is not dishwasher safe. Rubbing alcohol can also be used to clean the device.

How often should I clean the device?

Frequency depends on powder type and usage. Fine, dry powders require less maintenance than sticky or oily powders.

TROUBLESHOOTING

My KLIC is not dispensing smoothly. What should I do?

Loosen the powder, clean the chamber, or switch to a finer or drier powder. High humidity can reduce flow.

The device feels tight or hard to turn.

Remove the knob and check for powder buildup or debris. Clean thoroughly and ensure the O-ring is properly seated.

My powder keeps leaking or escaping.

A small amount may escape through the intake hole if held upside down when a dose is selected. Avoid storing the device fully loaded and be sure the chamber door is closed before putting it away.
